The McGill School of Continuing Studies, renowned internationally for its leadership in continuing education, has partnered with Riipen to offer work-integrated learning opportunities to its learners. The School’s diverse student body includes professionals, employees, employers, newcomers, and lifelong learners, each bringing a wide range of experiences from various walks of life. Their programs are designed to meet the evolving needs of learners through daytime, evening, and weekend courses, both on campus and online.

Through this collaboration with Riipen, McGill School of Continuing Studies learners can complete short-term, paid projects funded by the Government of Canada. This partnership provides a valuable opportunity for learners to gain hands-on experience in the Canadian workplace, while employers benefit from fresh insights and innovative solutions. The Program empowers adult learners to build their skills, connect with professionals, and pursue their personal and professional goals, creating a bridge between education and career success.

McGill SCS SEED Initiative - Fall 2025

The McGill School of Continuing Studies, through its SEED (SCS Experiential Empowerment and Development) initiative, and in partnership with Riipen, offers an opportunity for learners to gain practical experience in the Canadian workplace. This program enables learners to apply their skills in systems thinking, project management, and interpersonal communication to real-world challenges. Participants, ranging from seasoned professionals to newcomers to Canada, bring diverse international backgrounds and fresh perspectives. Through short-term, impactful projects, learners bridge the gap between education and career success while contributing meaningful value to partner organizations. We’re seeking short-term, 60-hour projects in collaboration and productivity for SEED learners in the Collaboration and Productivity program. These learners are equipped to tackle real organizational challenges, improving team effectiveness, optimizing business processes, forecasting trends, and driving innovation using tools like systems thinking, design thinking, and simulation software. With strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, they’ll deliver practical insights tailored to your needs. Partnering with them is a low-risk way to explore fresh ideas and advance strategic priorities. Learners receive a $1,400 stipend, funded directly by Riipen with support from the Government of Canada’s Innovative Work-Integrated Learning program. Project timeline: Request to match your project:  July 28 - September 26, 2025 Program administrators will review all requests and let you know if changes are needed to set the project up for success. Students invited to join:  September 29, 2025 Students apply to projects:  September 29 - October 10, 2025 Student will apply to projects. You must review applications and accept your team(s) during this period. Participants, who include professionals and newcomers to Canada, bring diverse international experiences and fresh perspectives. This experience allows learners to bridge the gap between education and career success by working on short-term, impactful projects. We’re currently looking for projects in the following categories: cybersecurity, cloud security, project management, data analytics, market research, marketing & communications, finance and accounting, and supply chain management. Learners work on 60-hour, short-term projects and are paid a $1,400 stipend directly by Riipen, thanks in part to the Government of Canada’s Innovative Work-Integrated Learning (I-WIL) Initiatives program. This means there’s no cost to you.
